I missed my blog!
For the past three weeks I’ve been struggling with terrible shoulder and back pain, and though I want to say that it’s because of a cool reason like a sports injury, the simple truth is that it’s because of computer strain. How lame.
I felt like someone was pulling down on my shoulders and I couldn’t even stand straight. My sister’s theory was that the angel and devil on my shoulders were just being hyperactive. Anyway, it’s been a total bummer not being able to write when I have all these ideas in my head. Thankfully, I found this video on YouTube that specifically addresses what is called “mouse shoulder” (yes, because of all that clicking we do over years of working on a computer). All you need is a tennis ball and an exercise mat. The idea is to lie down on the ball right where the knot on your back/shoulder is so that pressure can be applied on the area while you stretch your arm.
I had low expectations because the pain had become unbearable that sometimes I had to cry. But this exercise saved me! I’m still not back to 100%, but at least I’m not crying anymore and I can pay more attention to my blog!
Thank you to Deb Froehlich!
