Yes, yes, we are ready!

November 2nd can’t come soon enough. That is the day when Bohemian Rhapsody, starring Rami Malek as Freddie Mercury, comes out in theaters.

The movie trailer is simply amazing. Who knew you could mash up “Bohemian Rhapsody” and “We Will Rock You”? I don’t think I’ve replayed a movie trailer this much, not even for Infinity War. And this trailer has become my go-to when I need a mood boost. In a slightly weird way, it’s also my go-to when I need a good cry because two and a half minutes is enough to bring me to tears.

As much as the trailer is all kinds of awesome, there are still a million ways this movie could go wrong. It could easily go the Greatest Showman route, and just be a montage of great music videos. I hope and pray the screenwriters and director don’t mess this up, because it would be such a disgrace to Freddie’s spirit if this fails.

But if we could hand out Oscars right now, the guy who put together the trailer should get one. So should Malek. He simply embodies Mercury, it’s eerie.

Is this uncanny or what? (Credit: forum.dvdtalk.com)

In fact, the actors who play Brian May, John Deacon, and Roger Taylor nail it too.

Thank God that whole Sacha Baron Cohen clusterfck has gone away and left us forever. Because that would have been the worst insult to Freddie ever.

Excuse me while I go watch the trailer for the 900,000th time.
