My 2017, Wrapped
According to Spotify, my top artist for the year is Mr. Big!
overplayed rediscovered their gem of a song, ‘Goin’ Where The Wind Blows’, this year. I’m not surprised about Steve Perry being on the list because I distinctly remember a couple of weeks when all I listened to were his songs, on a loop, every day.
Meatloaf is there because ‘I’d Do Anything For Love (But I Won’t Do That)’ is epic and it shall be my winning piece on Lip Sync Battle. I listened the hell out of ‘You’re The Best Thing About Me’ by my favorite band in the world (in case you’re wondering why U2 is not my top artist, it’s because I listen to their music on my iPod). And I have U2 to thank for The Lumineers being on this list too! I used to think their music was bland and pretentious (I mean, ‘Ho! Hey?’ Come on.) But then they opened for U2’s Joshua Tree Tour in LA, and they sounded so amazing live that I fell in love with them.
To be honest, the only thing that makes me cringe about this list is that The Chainsmokers are there. Gah. I am not a hipster! Oh well. That’s that love-hate relationship with Chris Martin for you.
Spotify came up with this pretty badass playlist for me though.
And how was your year, music-wise?
