I discovered The Blog Bar (http://www.theblogbar.com/) at the perfect time – thank you Instagram for recommending posts! It’s a community for bloggers – sort of like bloggers’ Facebook. The thing that got me is their digital planner. Throw around the word “planner” and you have my undivided attention.

It’s a simple idea – a weekly calendar where you itemize your blog ideas and list your goals and to dos. I think I reached a mini-rut lately, running out of inspiration for my blog and generally feeling out of it. But the simple act of just writing things down and planning turned out to be revolutionary. Who knew?
You can share your latest blog entries (or anything really) and post updates on the home page, discuss different topics and maybe ask advice from other bloggers in the forums, and check out upcoming blog events or meetups (though this part is still empty for now).
I started this blog as a hobby, when I had all the time in the world, so I could just write about whatever I was into at the moment. I could keep all my ideas in my head and not go crazy. But then life gets in the way and it’s easy to lose track of the little things that make you happy. And even though it’s still just a hobby, I want to make something good for whoever bothers to visit (and for me!).
The Blog Bar is another useful resource for bloggers, whether you’re a beginner or a veteran. Of course the WordPress community is special, but it’s good to branch out and learn from as many bloggers as you can.
So go check them out and make new friends!
