Every year in May we set aside a day to celebrate the most special, most important person in our lives – Bono!
Just kidding. Happy Mother’s Day Mom and to all the moms out there!
But really I meant Bono.
It’s Bono’s birthday today! Our favorite Irish bicycle-riding and -falling, concert ad-libbing, leather pants- and sunglass-wearing, self-described rock star and megalomaniac, turns 55. 55 years old, oh my Lord.
U2 starts their iNNOCENCE + eXPERIENCE World Tour in Vancouver on May 14 (without me, I might add. I’ll just be here, crying my eyes out because I can’t go). Bono, just please take care of yourself. No jumping off of stage sets, and NO BICYCLES EVER. (Except for Jimmy Fallon sketches, but that’s it.) I’m saving up for the next tour and I demand that you be in one piece for that.
So let’s all tweet a well, listen to U2 all day and enjoy this exuberant and soul-affirming performance of “Angel of Harlem” from The Tonight Show.
